We have been asked by our client to identify a best Sr. Oracle PL/SQL, ANSI SQL Developer for Boston, MA.
Our client is a highly regarded company in the financial Services.
Title: Sr. Oracle PL/SQL, ANSI SQL Developer - Composite Exp
Location: Boston, MA or (Marlborough, MA)
Duration: Long Term
We are looking for a consultant that knows Oracle and Composite so that they rewrite these reports from oracle reports to Composite using Oracle PL/SQL and ANSI SQL.
These are complex reports so we need someone analytical in nature.Keys to the PositionStrong Oracle PL/SQL Development and experience working with Composite is a must.
Composite is a Data Validation tool that allows one to retrieve data from multiple sources.
Strong ANSI SQL experience is a must.
This is used with Composite
Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
BI Reporting experience is a big +
Financial Services experience is a big +
Minimum Requirements:
• This position is 80% Development and 20% Systems Analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to pick up new technologies and conduct POCs and build prototypes.
• Demonstrated expertise in ANSI SQL and complex Oracle to ANSI SQL conversions where Oracle SQL used sub query factoring, pivoting and inbuilt oracle analytics
• The majority of work will be done in the Oracle environment – Oracle 11G using advanced SQL and PLSQL and ANSI SQL
• Must be a very strong Developer that can support and interact with the business.
• Must have strong expertise in BI reporting, preferably in the Financial Services area
• Financial services/investment management experience is highly desirable, including knowledge of Equities and Derivatives
• Excellent client Interfacing and communication skills are required
• This is a Senior Level Individual Contributor role.Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience with Oracle SQL PL/SQlL
• 5+ years of experience with ANSI SQL
• 3+ years of experience with Composite, will be required to write some scripts and carry through a full composite conversion from start to end
• 3+ years of experience in the financial services/investment management area
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Ability to work independently and own projects/tasks from beginning to end
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Overview
The Equity Investments Application team is seeking a hybrid analyst/developer with strong technology implementation and systems analysis skills to deliver and support technical solutions that enable the investment process.
The analyst will work with Wellington’s Investment teams covering functions such as global portfolio management, research, investment risk management, hedge fund management, and product management.
Daily activities will include understanding current reports queries and implementations, requirements gathering, hands on conversion and development in Composite, code reviews, implementation, and testing.
The individual will work with the Equity team to trace investment data flows/ anomalies/issues through comprehensive analysis, and remediate/enhance existing Oracle implementations for the Equity Investments business.
In addition the responsibilities will include designing and implementation of very efficient ANSi SQL functions, stored procedures within Composite.
Prior experience with reporting solutions using Composite is required. Work requires solid mathematical skills and an excellent problem solving acumen.
